Despite Pump.fun’s blockbuster run, earning over $700 million in revenue within a period of two years, this type of approach to raising $1 billion at a valuation of $4 billion has been met with skepticism. Both the primary Pump.fun and Alon’s X accounts were deactivated briefly before being re-enabled—an incident that probably had a significant role to play in it being one of the factors to postpone going live until legality issues and being in compliance are duly worked out.
